Community Impact 2012

The Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin returned $865,661 to the community in its fiscal year which ended on June 30, 2012.  Over $139,800 in scholarships was awarded to 154 area students to further their education. Community organizations such as Arts Alliance, Children’s Museum, Operation Bootstrap, and Women’s Fund benefitted from over $506,628 that was granted to 166 area organizations.  Another $219,233 was directed toward community projects like the Green Circle, Stevens Point Skate Park, and WWI Veteran’s Memorial Restoration.  “We are proud of the grants we are able to make to our community to make it a better place,” said Terry Rothmann, Executive Director.  Grant requests continue to increase as local and state budgets are pared.  Every gift, of any size can make a difference” said Rothmann.  Gifts can be made online at the foundation website, or mailed to the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin, PO Box 968, Stevens Point, WI  54481.  Be sure to designate the fund where your gift should be directed.


Cameroon Educational Computer Fund

Distributions from the fund will be used to furnish a computer lab at the St. Joseph’s Comprehensive School in Bafut, Cameroon. “This is our third project for Cameroon, and we are so pleased that we can help local donors meet their charitable dreams and goals.” said Terry Rothmann, Executive Director.
