Scholarship Opportunity –
Do you know a Portage County resident wanting to further his or her education beyond high school? If so, we need your help.
The Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin has a new scholarship called C.O.L.L.E.G.E. – Creating Opportunity for Local Learners to Explore Greater Education. Once $25,000 is invested in this fund, we can offer one $1,000 scholarship. At $50,000 we can offer two $1,000 scholarships. And so on.
Applicants for this new scholarship will be asked to demonstrate community involvement/volunteerism and financial need.
The Community Foundation hopes to be able to grant one scholarship this coming spring. Your gift of any amount can be given to the C.O.L.L.E.G.E. fund. Checks can be sent to P. O. Box 968, Stevens Point. Or go online to our website at www.cfcwi.org to make a credit card gift.
With rising tuition costs, scholarships are more critical than ever. Can you help us make a difference in the level of education of a worthy resident?
